Passignano Sul Trasimeno
Overlooking Lake Trasimeno, you’re in the centre of Passignano, a coastal town with historic ruins, beautiful churches and plenty of traditional restaurants. Soak up the views from Rocca di Passignano before paying your respects at the Chiesa di San Cristoforo, slipping into the life of a local. The lake itself offers plenty of opportunities for swimming, boating, kayaking and more, but the real pleasure here is being able to drive around to all the cultural gems in central Italy.
You’re a 30-minute drive from the ancient hill-town of Cortona and it's plethora of sites: wander around the Basilica di Santa Margherita, people-watch under the bell-tower at Piazza della Repubblica, or admire the frescoes and historic artefacts at the Museo Diocesano located in the Chiesa del Buon Ges.
