The town sits on the river Neckar, with a quaintly historic centre, an impressive town hall and imposing market square. An Sbahn station nearby can deliver you to Stuttgart in comfort, to visit sights such as the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the Porsche Museum (an automotive theme, here) and Schlossplatz.
The surrounding region of Baden-Württemberg is home to the mountainous Black Forest, setting of many a fairy tale, where you’ll find Gothic towns and beautiful scenery. Hire a car to explore the winding roads, castles and waterfalls.
