An edgy glass and steel hotel with contemporary interiors in Zagreb’s vibrant City Island – includes breakfast.
-
Modern design: Opened in 2024 to great acclaim, Pullman Zagreb is an ultra-modern hotel in Zagreb’s City Island – a bustling new development of shops, restaurants, hotels and exhibition spaces. Just a short distance from the city centre and a mere 10 minutes’ drive from the airport, it’s perfectly placed for enjoying short (or long!) breaks to Croatia’s charming capital city.
-
Everyone accommodated: The hotel has plenty of amenities to keep all travellers satisfied, from a wellness centre with a well-equipped gym and two saunas to meeting spaces and a lobby with friendly front desk staff who can help with recommendations locally. The rooms are polished and packed with useful features, like super-fast WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and stylish en suites. Plus, each room has a famously comfortable Pullman bed.
-
Eat and drink: Zagreb’s got some great restaurants, but you won’t have to go far to find a refreshing tipple or a bite to eat. Mingle at the hotel’s bar over a cocktail and head for dinner at Tanto afterwards – here, pops of colour stand out against the moody concrete walls and menus feature Italian favourites. Don’t miss the crispy-edge pizzas, antipasti plates and of course, the tiramisu.
How to get there
Pullman Zagreb is in Novi Zagreb, a modern quarter south of the city centre where you’ll find shopping malls and contemporary restaurants. Zagreb airport is a 10-minute drive (or around 50 minutes by public transport).

Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.
Buzin
Croatia’s capital and largest city is made for exploring on foot. Zagreb’s red roofs, cobblestone streets, spire-peppered skyline and ornate domes is best explored at a slow pace, drifting between the charming Upper Town to the elegant Lower Town – the latter is where you’ll find the best examples of neo-Baroque and Art Deco architecture leftover from the former Austro-Hungarian empire. If weird museums are more your vibe, make a stop at the Museum of Broken Relationships, or head to the Museum of Illusions to turn your brain upside down. There are museums dedicated to contemporary art, chocolate, torture and er, mushrooms.
Use the unmissable (and unavoidable) Ban Josip Jelačić Square as your starting point – it’s the city’s main square where bars and pavement cafes, grand buildings and shops surround a yawning central square with a fountain. Just around the corner, Tržnica Dolac is a large and atmospheric open-air market selling delectable Croatian foods, flowers and fresh fruits and vegetables.
Head an hour outside the city to Medvednica Nature Park to discover Croatia’s greener side – pack your walking boots to explore forest trails, babbling streams, caves and castles. Take the cable car to the park’s highest peak, Sljeme, for jaw-dropping views.
