Schenna
Follow scenic trails winding through the lush mountain landscape, by foot or by bike. You can set off from the village, or hop in a cable car and glide over the alpine forest paradise to reach beautiful routes further up the mountain. Whilst in the village, savour some smooth Italian espresso at a local café, and pay a visit to Scena Castle: the impressive, ivy-laced fortress oozes medieval grandeur to tell of a time long gone. It’s a very short drive into the renowned spa town Merano, where you can take advantage of the healing waters at the Merano Thermal Baths. Merano itself has a rich cultural heritage; you could check out the Kurhaus Meran, a lovely cream Art Nouveau build hosting an exciting programme of concerts.
