How to get there
The hotel is located in the town of Schladming in Austria. By car, the hotel is roughly an hour to an hour and a half from Salzburg Airport, and about two to two and half hours away from Graz Airport. Schladming train station is a 20-minute walk away.
Entry requirements
The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.
Schladming
With a bevy of incredible sports and wellness facilities to make use of, you might not feel like leaving the hotel, but if the incredible mountain scenery calls you out to explore, then strap on your hiking boots and hit the verdant slopes. The Schladming Tauer mountain range sits on your doorstep, with trails galore for both trekking and biking. With the cable car just a 10-minute walk away, you could glide up the side of Planai to enjoy the gentle Panorama Loop at the top, or attempt the craggy Krahbergzinken summit, the perfect half-day hike with breathtaking views. On two wheels, you can make the most of the over 35 kilometres of trails at Bikepark Schladming, with something for all levels of ability, including a beginner’s area and the Jumpline with 99 jumps.
When winter comes around, you can be sure of a good time on the snowy slopes of the four mountains. The Ski amadé ski area is just 15 minutes down the road from the hotel, and offers hundreds of kilometres of blue, red and black slopes. You can also enjoy the colder weather off the pistes; try the seven-kilometre natural toboggan run at Hochwurzen, take a horse-drawn sleigh through the white-dusted landscape, or head to nearby Ramsau am Dachstein, the centre of Austrian cross-country skiing.
