Protaras
Ease yourself into holiday mode with a stay in Protaras, on the southeast coast of Cyprus. The lively beach resort has a patchwork of sandy beaches and a vibrant after-dark scene. You’ll be just 10 kilometres from Paralimni and nine kilometres from the party paradise that is Ayia Napa, but you needn’t venture that far to begin unwinding. Relax on the Blue Flag-winning golden-sand beaches, including famous Fig Tree Bay (TripAdvisor ranks it as one of the top beaches in Europe), and Konnos Bay, where small, pretty coves are flanked by lush greenery. Walking and cycling trails await at Capo Greco National Forest Park, as well as deep turquoise waters beloved of the diving community, lighthouses and impressive rock formations.
