Where style meets fun: The Atlantica Mikri Poli Rhodes is an upscale resort that just happens to be fantastic for families. The sprawling hotel languishes over a massive plot on Rhodes’ southeast coast and is absolutely stuffed full of fun things to do. Not only does the resort have its own waterpark, there are four outdoor pools, a private area of pebbly beach and even an amphitheatre where you can catch an after-dinner show.

Kids will love it: Little ones are taken care of with a shaded playground for burning off some energy and a kids’ club where they can make new friends while enjoying team games, drama and music. Make the three-minute stroll down to the beach for a dip in the warm, clear waters, or stay at the resort to explore the water slides: there’s a race bowl, a splash park, slides and chutes, plus a lazy river.

How to get there
The hotel is a 35-minute drive from Rhodes International Airport, which is about 30 kilometres to the north. Rhodes Port is also around a 35-minute drive and has services to and from Kos, Chalki, Anafi, and a number of other Greek ports.

Those in search of more energetic thrills will also find watersports and buzzy beach scenes. Plus, it’s well worth venturing to Asklipion for its medieval castle ruins, Lindos for its magnificent Acropolis, and Gennadi for its beach parties.
