How to get there
The hotel is mere moments from Junction 47 of the A1(M), nine minutes’ drive from Harrogate and 25 minutes from York. Leeds is about 30 minutes’ drive away.
Good to know
The hotel allows well-behaved dogs on a lead in the Byron Whiskey Bar, reception area and outdoor courtyards, and asks that they are not left unattended in bedrooms at any time. There is an additional fee of £30 per pet, per night, which includes the use of a drinking/food bowl and dog treats. Please inform the hotel using the details on your booking confirmation if this is required.

Also worthwhile is browsing the shops in the Montpellier Quarter for antique treats or strolling around the gardens at Harlow Carr. York is well worth a trip to enjoy the huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral, the city walls and well-preserved medieval streets.
The setting of the hotel is slap bang between two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – Nidderdale and the Howardian Hills – with the North York Moors National Park also within easy reach. Pack your walking boots for bracing tramps over rolling hills, in search of jaw-dropping views and local wildlife.
