Perissa
Santorini calls to mind the pristine white buildings of Oia at the northwestern tip of the island, but don’t head home as soon as you’ve snapped a few pics with the blue domes - there’s plenty more to discover in this beautiful and historic location. Much of the southern part of the island is dominated by magnificent craggy hills - you’ll see Mesa Vouno rising at the near end of Perissa Beach, just a short walk from the hotel. At the top of this hill you’ll find the ruins of ancient Thera; sitting at over 360 metres above sea level, this is a must-see destination for history buffs and anyone looking for spectacular panoramic vistas across the Aegean. Head back down and enjoy some time on the famed black sands of Perissa Beach, sipping a cocktail at one of the many beach bars or strolling in the surf. For an evening to remember, head to lively Fira for energetic nightlife, great bars and some late-night shopping, or why not partake in some plate smashing at an interactive Greek wedding live show?
