Sailing trip to Ponta da Piedade
Sail along the famous Ponta da Piedade on this excursion. You'll pass through the caves and rock formations of the headland jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean as the local skippers from Marina de Lagos show you the secrets of this extraordinary coast. The many small and large grottos have names corresponding to their appearance, such as "Titanic", "Elephant", "Gorilla" and "Arc de Triomphe". An absolute must is also the "Catedral" - one of the most impressive rock formations here, also "Cozinha" and "Sala" know how to impress. The rocks owe their unmistakable shapes to the waves of the Atlantic, which have been crashing against the rocks for many years, sometimes gently splashing, sometimes stormily crashing. Enjoy the dreamy view of the coast from the water, where the warm colours of the rocks harmonise with the cool blue of the ocean - Mother Nature has done a great job here!
