Excursions

Included excursions:

Day 2: Digital Angkor Wat admission ticket (Angkor pass only)

Gain access to the Angkor complex and immerse yourself in its ancient wonders. Amongst the park's many striking temples, the undeniable highlight of the day is Angkor Wat. The largest religious temple in the world, the structure's impressive architecture and artistic reliefs powerfully narrate the story of the Khmer civilisation.

Day 2: Full-day tuk-tuk tour of Angkor Wat

Dive into Cambodia's culture on an epic tour by tuk-tuk, and whizz between temples as you learn all about their history. Spend the morning discovering the many stunning temples of ancient Angkor Thom City as well as the vine-covered Ta Prohm temple, made famous by the film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - before journeying on in the afternoon to visit the famous Angkor Wat temple.

Day 3: Small group Kulen Mountain tour

Explore Cambodia's holy Phnom Kulen, a site of profound religious significance to both Hindus and Buddhists, on a small group tour. Journey approximately one hour by minibus to Phnom Kulen National Park, accompanied by a professional guide. Ascend to the foot of the mountain, considered the birthplace of the great Khmer Empire in AD 802, enjoying the breathtaking drive through abundant greenery to the majestic Kulen Waterfall. Take a dip before continuing to the Thousand Lingas, a gorgeous river whose bed is covered with intricate Shiva Linga carvings. Receive a blessing with holy water and continue your ascent to the mountain's summit where you’ll discover a beautiful pagoda and the world-famous Reclining Buddha at rest.

Optional excursions:

Day 2: Optional upgrade to e-bike tour of Angkor

The Angkor Archaeological Complex is a sprawling wonder, far too vast for a single-day exploration. To truly experience its grandeur and move beyond typical tourist paths, this distinctive e-bike adventure takes you along 40 kilometres of hidden trails with a local guide. You'll explore the iconic Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious building, before biking to the South Gate of Angkor Thom and the unique Bayon Temple with its 216 massive faces. Your journey also takes you to Ta Prohm, the atmospheric "Tomb Raider" jungle temple.

Day 2: Optional upgrade to Angkor temple discovery by jeep

You'll be picked up in an open-air jeep and driven to crumbling Ta Prohm, the mystical temple that remains largely as-found, overgrown by trees and vines. Your next stop will be the ancient city of Angkor Thom; enter through the ancient gate and visit Bayon Temple, also known as the Giant Face Temple. After a snack break, drive on to Angkor Wat, where your tour guide will help you understand the rich history and symbolism of this World Heritage Site. Stop at a local restaurant to enjoy lunch, then you'll be venturing off the beaten track and through the village around the Angkor complex to see another side to the site.

Day 9, 11, or 13: Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields tour by Tuk Tuk

Gain a profound, yet sobering, insight into Cambodia's complex past with a Tuk Tuk tour to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) and the Choeung Ek Killing Fields. Witness the chilling remnants of the Khmer Rouge regime's brutal genocide as you explore Tuol Sleng, once a high school, now a museum. Continue to Choeung Ek, a tranquil memorial marking one of the many mass grave sites - a powerful testament to the lives lost and the nation's resilience.
