How to get there
Your hotel is located in rural Burgundy, and is about two hours’ drive from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport. It’s possible to arrive by train, with two onward connections from Lyon and a travel time closer to three hours.

Vosne-Romanée
Unsurprisingly, top of the list for things to do include guided wine tastings and tours through the vineyards. Vosne-Romanée is renowned for its excellent, silky smooth Pinot Noir wines, so you’ll be able to decide which is your favourite and perhaps take a bottle home with you. The Château du Clos de Vougeot, rising out of the sea of vineyards in its austere medieval beauty, is well worth a visit. Whilst no longer functional, this 12th century wine farm embodies the village’s enduring role in Burgundy's wine heritage. Even if you’re not a wine buff, the vineyards and surrounding scenery make for some truly gorgeous hiking. If you fancy a splash of city life, Dijon is just half an hour away by car.
