The namesake and birthplace of sweet port wine is a picture-perfect cluster of multi-coloured, Baroque architecture rising up from the river, mirrored in her calm waters. Wander the cobbled streets between visits to cultural hotspots like the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, or trendy art galleries in Bonfim, and browse designer boutiques and artisanal stores.
