Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.
Hurghada
Sahl Hasheesh is a heavenly bay area on the Red Sea, flanked by wild desert mountains, clear waters and coral reef bursting with marine life – no wonder it’s fast becoming a prized destination in the diving world. Less widely known and touristy than the popular Sharm El Sheikh, here beginners and experts alike can plumb the depths of the underwater world and retire to the upscale tranquillity of smart resorts. The Sunken City is a nearby dive site worth checking out, accessible to snorkellers, too.
Back on land, the Sahl Hasheesh old town is within walking distance, perfect for a light evening walk. Here you can marvel at the piazza with traditional Arabic arches, a water feature and dazzling azure tiling. There are a clutch of gorgeous golf courses in the area, or if you’re itching for some more adventure, quadbiking through the desert or desert safaris is always an option.
