Kos
You’ll be staying within easy reach of the beach, the lovely harbour, and the centre of Kos Town. Must-dos include lingering over long lunches washed down with ouzo at the harbourside restaurants, marvelling at the Roman and Ottoman architecture, admiring the mighty Castle of Neratzia that was built by the Knights Templar, and braving the dizzying heights of Mount Dikeos - the island’s tallest peak at 2,766 feet.
Further island thrills include exploring the fabulous galleries in the artsy town of Pyli, hitting the soft white sands at the seaside village of Tingaki, and paying your respects to Kos' native son, Hippocrates, at the ancient sanatorium known as Asklepion Temple.
