Grecotel Plaza Beach House is located right on Rethymno Beach, near the Old Town. The nearest airport is Heraklion International Airport, which is just under 80 kilometres from the hotel and roughly an hours’ drive.
Entry requirements

Rethimno
The third largest town on the island, Rethymno is an intriguing mixture of old-world charm and lively Cretan life. The grand Venetian architecture cuts a dramatic shape on Crete’s northern coast, lapped by the sparkling azure waters of the Sea of Crete and overlooked by a hilltop citadel. History seeps from the blocky stone walls of the charming Old Town, cobwebbed by narrow streets leading to a harbour bobbing with fishing boats and surrounded by lively tavernas. A long strip of white sand runs almost the entire length of the town: it’s the perfect Greek island escape.
From Rethymno’s central position it’s easy to explore the island. Hire a car and head west along the national highway to the city of Chania, to explore the 14th-century harbour and beautiful beaches; head to the paradisiacal Balos Lagoon and imagine you’re on a remote island, or relax on the pink-tinged sands of Elafonisi. Alternatively, drive east to the capital Heraklion, explore the preserved Bronze Age site of Knossos and dine on fresh seafood in the glamorous town of Elounda.
