Days in Tenerife include a visit to the renowned Loro Parque, home to 400 animal species, with an optional trip to discover the dramatic volcanic beauty of Teide National Park and behold the highest peak in Spain. Hop in your car and wind across the scenic roads to any of the splendid vistas Tenerife has to offer. At Los Gigantes, sheer volcanic cliffs plunge into the Atlantic and nearby black sands stretch far and wide for dreamy sunbathing. Inland, trace the roads up to Santiago del Teide reveal sweeping views of lava fields and lush banana plantations, and the charming mountain town presents colourful Canarian architecture and charming cobbled streets to explore.
Glide across the sea to La Gomera on day five, shifting gear to a more remote, wild world, where charming mountain villages lie just beyond ancient mossy forests. Here you’ll get to spend your days as you please: rise and dip with the curve of the land, from scenic miradores (viewpoints) boasting epic views across cliffs and coast. Descend into Valle Gran Rey, famous for its beautiful black sand beaches, and stop off at local village eateries to sample fresh seafood. Whether it’s golf, beaches or hiking on the agenda, scenic drives are guaranteed.

Day 2: Loro Parque entrance ticket
Enter the gates of Loro Parque and let the official park map and show schedule guide your journey through this botanical animal kingdom. Beat the crowds with the first shows of the day, such as dolphin and orca shows. Other key attractions include Planet Penguin, the immersive Coral Kingdom, and of course the chance to say hello to gorillas, lions, tigers and many more majestic creatures.
Optional excursion:
Day 3 or 4: Teide National Park half day
Centred around the highest peak of Spain (3718 metres) is the UNESCO-listed, sprawling volcanic beauty of Teide National Park. Once inside, you’ll get to make many photo-worthy stops from the cinematic Roques de García and the volcanoes Teide and Pico Viejo, to hundreds of cones, lava floes and caves, red wildflowers and violets scattered across the landscape. Subject to availability and an additional fee, you’ll be able to ride the cable car. Warm clothing and appropriate footwear are required for this part of the excursion (no open shoes).
