Optional Excursions

If you would like to make your trip even more memorable, you can also book the following optional excursions. These excursions can be selected in the booking process.

Day 7: Full day excursion to Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca and Red Valley

Embark on an exclusive excursion to the majestic Andes. Your adventure begins with an early drive through breathtaking landscapes, past alpacas and local settlements, before a fortifying breakfast at quite the altitude. A private hike will take you to the legendary rainbow mountain Vinicunca, a natural spectacle of unparalleled beauty, followed by a visit to the striking Red Valley. After soaking up these remarkable sights, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel in Cusco, feeling refreshed after a day filled with natural wonders.

Day 11 or 17: Full Day Boat Trip to an Uninhabited Galápagos Island

Immerse yourself in the unspoiled paradise of the Galápagos Islands on a full-day boat trip to one of the fascinating uninhabited islands (depending upon availability: Plazas, North Seymour, Santa Fe or Bartolomé). Get up close with the unique wildlife, from playful sea lions to majestic blue-footed boobies and colourful land iguanas in their natural environment. Enjoy the breathtaking volcanic landscape, snorkel in crystal clear waters and be enchanted by the unspoiled beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. An unforgettable adventure for those who want to experience the rare nature of the Galápagos Islands in an exclusive setting.

Day 11 or 17: Half-day excursion to Academy Bay

This half-day excursion starts in Puerto Ayora and takes you to Academy Bay (La Lobería), where you can spot blue-footed boobies and, if you're lucky, white-tip reef sharks. You will then visit Playa de los Perros, which delights with its marine iguanas and impressive coastal landscape. Up next is a snorkelling adventure in the crystal clear waters (equipment included) before ending the tour with a refreshing swim in the natural rock pools of Las Grietas, and returning to port.

Day 12 or 18: excursion to Lobos de Tierra

Discover Lobos de Tierra, a gem near San Cristobal in the Galápagos Islands, named after the playful sea lions whose brown fur stands out against white sands. In addition to these charming residents, the island is home to nesting frigate birds and blue-footed boobies, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Dive into a protected channel where you can snorkel with sea lions and sea turtles, and marvel at graceful giant rays and other marine life.

Day 13 or 18: Full Day Snorkelling Trip to Kicker Rock and Punta Pitt

Embark on an exclusive full-day snorkelling tour around the fascinating Galápagos Islands. At the legendary Kicker Rock, you'll dive into the crystal clear waters, surrounded by steep cliffs and an impressive variety of marine life. Swim side-by-side with schools of colourful fish, elegant rays and curious sea turtles as you explore the dazzling coral reefs and bizarre rock formations. Your journey will then continue to Punta Pitt on San Cristóbal – an unspoiled natural paradise that delights with bizarre volcanic landscapes and the rare opportunity to observe all three species of gannets in the Galápagos: blue, red and masked boobies. A light gourmet lunch on board is the perfect way to round off an eventful day as you take in the spectacular views and peaceful atmosphere of the archipelago.

Day 13 or 18: Half-day visit to the San Cristobal Interpretation Centre

Head off on an exclusive excursion to San Cristóbal that combines the nature, wildlife and history of the Galápagos. At the Interpretation Centre, lend your ear for about half an hour packed with exciting insights into the formation and evolution of the archipelago. From three vantage points, you'll also enjoy impressive panoramas, observe both species of frigate birds and discover historical highlights such as a World War II cannon and a statue of Darwin. The views extend to landmarks such as León Dormido, Cerro Mundo and Cerro Tijeretas. The excursion continues to La Lobería, a two-and-a-half kilometre beach lined with rock formations, turquoise waters and a lively sea lion colony. Spot marine iguanas and sea turtles, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters – a perfect place to experience the diversity of the Galápagos up close.
