A timeless classic: Perched on a promontory at the edge of the Giens peninsula, Hôtel Le Provençal Giens has offered a blissful escape with glittering sea views since 1951. Old-school French sophistication is tied together with a contemporary chic finish, thanks to the hotel’s recent renovation and reopening. Step into a Mediterranean postcard, where the scent of pine trees mixes with the sea breeze, and vistas stretch towards the beautiful Hyères Islands.

Sun-drenched heaven: Days are best spent soaking up the southern sun in the hotel's two-hectare private park. Here you’ll find the iconic saltwater swimming pool, impressively carved into the rock, alongside a private beach for serene moments by the waves. Knock about with a game of tennis or a classic round of pétanque before finding a quiet spot to lounge with a book in the utter bliss of these golden climes. From summer 2026, the wellness area with a sauna, hammam and treatment menu will be open.

Taste of Provence: You're spoilt for choice with a host of dining options, each celebrating fresh, local ingredients. Enjoy an al fresco lunch with sea views, tuck into family-style Provençal recipes at the traditional brasserie, or sip cocktails on the panoramic terrace as the sun sets. The restaurants offer a true taste of the Mediterranean, from grilled delicacies at the summer barbecue spot, to authentic Provençal beef stew and fine French wines.

Hyères
Your hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the wild beauty of the Giens peninsula, a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Follow the coastal path to discover breathtaking cliff-top views and secluded coves – by foot or by kayak. In the heart of the peninsula, the salt marshes provide a sanctuary for birdwatchers, who might even spot a flock of flamingos.
If you fancy a day trip, from the harbour at La Tour Fondue (a short drive away), you can catch a ferry to the enchanting Île de Porquerolles. This largely car-free island is best explored by bike; cycle through pine forests to discover pristine beaches like the Plage de Notre Dame, often likened to the Caribbean for its clear blue waters.
