Top off the evening with a glimpse into authentic Bia Hoi culture, where you'll toast to Vietnamese life among the locals.
Day 2: full-day Hanoi city tour with market visit
Immerse yourself in Hanoi's soul: from the awe-inspiring Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to the silence of the Temple of Literature and the unique One Pillar Pagoda, Vietnam's rich history awakens. Marvel at witnesses of the past at the B-52 Victory Museum before getting lost in the maze of the Old Town. The highlight? A visit to a lively open-air market for authentic culinary delights, followed by a hidden café where you can experience the artistic preparation of the legendary egg coffee up close.
Day 2: excursion to Quảng Phú Cầu and Ninh Bình with overnight stay
Your excursion begins with a drive from Hanoi to Ninh Bình. Along the way, stop in Quảng Phú Cầu, where you'll visit a local family's home to experience the ancient art of incense making - a visual feast of bright colours and craft tradition. Continue to Ninh Bình: climb the viewpoint of Hang Múa for a panoramic view over the "dry Halong Bay" and enjoy a romantic boat ride on the Ngo Dong through the majestic karst landscape. You will even spend the night in Ninh Bình and travel directly to Halong Bay the next day.
Day 11 or 13 (depending on itinerary): full-day excursion to the tunnels of Củ Chi and Ho Chi Minh City
Begin your adventure deep beneath the surface in the legendary tunnels of Củ Chi. This gigantic underground network tells a gripping story of ingenuity and survival in the Vietnam War. Crawl through the narrow passageways, see the hidden traps and feel the breath of history - a deeply moving experience.
Back in the sun, the modern wonder of Ho Chi Minh City awaits. Marvel at the Reunification Palace, a symbol of change and the magnificent colonial architecture of Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. Finish the day with a feast for the senses in the chaos and colours of Bến Thành Market.
Day 12 or 14 (depending on itinerary): full-day excursion to the Mekong Delta
