How to get there
The nearest airport is Koggala Airport, which is approximately five to seven kilometres away and takes around 10 to 15 minutes by car. Alternatively, your hotel is approximately two hours and a half to four hours from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo by car. Airport transfers can be arranged for an additional charge. The nearest train station is Ahangama.

Ahangama
Ahangama is a sleepy coastal village known for its small fishing community and the unusual technique of stilt fishing, which you can often spot along the shore. Beyond the local charm, you're perfectly positioned for easy day trips to some of Sri Lanka’s most renowned spots. Head along the coast to the historic, fortified city of Galle (about an hour's drive away). Explore the VOC Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site brimming with colonial-era architecture, artisan shops, cafés, and restaurants. Alternatively, venture further to Mirissa, the departure point for exciting whale watching trips where you have a chance to see the magnificent blue whale. You could also take a short drive to the nearby Koggala Lake for a change of scenery.
