How to get there
The hotel is located 17 kilometres from Zakynthos airport, roughly a 30-minute drive. Taxis are readily available, or you could hire a car to explore the beautiful island in more detail.

Alikanas
The island of Zakynthos is a rocky gem cast adrift in the Ionian Sea, surrounded by sparkling waters that lap onto paradisiacal white beaches or up against sheer cliffs. The rocky, hill-strewn interior is carpeted in olive trees and small, tumbledown villages – many now abandoned after the earthquake in 1953. The island offers many facets to suit all visitors: thriving nightlife in Zakynthos Town or Laganas, exploring the island’s history at the Venetian Castle or its forgotten villages, snorkelling and watersports on its beautiful beaches (a trip to Marathonisi ‘turtle island’ to learn about the endangered loggerhead sea turtles is a must-do) or sampling the delicious fresh Mediterranean cuisine in one of the island’s excellent-family run tavernas.
Alykes is on the east coast, its soft sandy beach lapped by crystal clear waters. The village has a variety of tavernas and there’s a marina from which you can take private boat tours. Head out of town, past the vast salt flats, into the forested hills to explore gnarled olive groves and family-run wine estates.
