The charming village of Archanes, set against the backdrop of Mount Juchtas, is known as a traditional Cretan beauty spot. The area is rich in history and culture, with the Archaeological Museum of Arhanes just a few minutes’ walk away, and the Minoan Peak Sanctuary on Mount Juchtas also nearby. You're also perfectly positioned to discover Crete's ancient past, as the world-famous Palace of Knossos is only ten kilometres away.
The region is a treasure trove for food and drink, famed for its wine, with multiple wineries like Titakis Winery and Lyrarakis within a short drive. Should you want to explore further, the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is a short journey away. The village centre, with its shops, cafés, and restaurants, is just a ten-minute walk from your hotel. For a change of scenery, the closest sandy beach, Karteros Beach, is roughly a fifteen-kilometre drive.
