Historic hilltop charm: Nestled on a tufa hill in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, Borgo di Colleoli Resort is an exclusive estate that breathes new life into a 15th-century hamlet. Once a noble residence, the sprawling manor house and its surrounding outbuildings – including a former barn and stables – have been meticulously restored to offer a unique stay that balances medieval history with modern comfort. Terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings whisper stories of the past, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the rolling Pisan hills.
-
Sun-drenched relaxation: The resort’s two large, panoramic swimming pools serve as the ultimate oasis for soaking up the Mediterranean sun. Set within manicured gardens and framed by silver-leafed olive groves, these inviting waters provide a peaceful spot to unwind between adventures. For those seeking deeper relaxation or a touch of local culture, your hotel also offers experiences such as Tuscan cooking classes led by master chefs, truffle hunting in the lush countryside, or even Vespa tours through the surrounding vineyards (fees apply).
-
Authentic Tuscan tastes: Indulge in a true culinary journey at the estate’s elegant dining venues, positioned around a central summer courtyard. The flagship restaurant, I Secoli, serves up a menu of mouthwatering traditional dishes crafted from the freshest locally sourced produce. For a more casual affair, settle into the atmospheric wine bar to explore a vast collection of regional vintages, ranging from crisp whites to bold reds. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet breakfast or a starlit dinner, every bite captures the bold and timeless flavours of Tuscany.
How to get there
The hotel is located in the small village of Colleoli, approximately 35 minutes’ drive from Pisa International Airport. Florence Airport is also a convenient option, located just over an hour’s drive away. For those travelling by train, the closest station is Pontedera, which is roughly 20 minutes from the hotel by taxi. We’d recommend hiring a car in order to get the most out of this beautiful and expansive rural area.

Colleoli
The Pisan hills offer a quintessential Italian landscape of cypress-lined lanes, fertile vineyards, and ancient olive orchards. Start your exploration in the nearby medieval town of Palaia, a hidden gem known for its picturesque stone streets and the 13th-century Pieve di San Martino. For a unique architectural detour, the neoclassical Tempio di Minerva Medica in Montefoscoli is just a short trip away.
Nature enthusiasts can take to the numerous hiking and mountain bike trails that wind through the estate, offering views that have inspired Renaissance painters for centuries.
