Valsamo Suites Santorini is situated in the village of Pyrgos. Santorini Airport is just six kilometres away, which is roughly a 12-minute taxi ride to the property. Why not hire a car so you can travel at your own pace, soaking up the rest of the island as you go?
Entry requirements
The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.
Pyrgos Kallistis
The hotel is set on a hillside in the picturesque village of Pyrgos - one of the highest, most peaceful and relatively tourist-free points on the Greek island of Santorini - an ideal setting for an authentic Santorini experience. Close to the hotel, visit the Castelli of Pyrgos and gaze upon its stunning clear-blue roof and the marvellous whitewashed exterior. Then take a trip and wander through the colourful village of Oia, perched perfectly on the jaw-dropping cliffs of Santorini's volcanic caldera and home to the Church of Panagia, a famous historical attraction.
If you fancy venturing out further then be sure to walk along the hiking trail through the sister villages of Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli, all brimming with character, culture and beautiful buildings. Hire a boat and discover the marine wildlife, or simply sunbathe on the stunning black volcanic Perissa Beach for some much needed chill time. You could also head down to arguably the most famous beach of all, Red Beach, to cool off in the sun-drenched Aegean Sea.
