Northern Lights hunt – Arctic wonders (day 2)

Set off into the deep Arctic night, leaving the glow of city lights behind to venture across snow-dusted forests and frozen landscapes. Guided by solar activity forecasts and real-time weather, you will journey to prime vantage points across the silent wilderness. Here, amidst the crisp winter air, pause to warm up with hot drinks and sweet treats shared under the vast polar sky. An optional upgrade to a nighttime snowmobile adventure is available.

Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon that are difficult to predict and depend on natural conditions. As such, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Snowmobile adventure (days 2, 3, 5, 7 or 9)

Set off on a scenic snowmobile adventure through the white scenery of Lapland’s snowy landscape. As you venture on a three-hour journey through lush, snow-draped forests, you’ll be equipped with cold weather-friendly equipment and pause for warming breaks along the way.

Husky adventure (days 2, 4, 7 or 9)

Embrace the spirit of the North with an intimate husky sledding experience. In a small group of just eight people, you’ll take the reins of your very own sled for a 10 kilometre journey across vast plains and frosted woodlands. Driven by the rhythmic padding of your loyal team, this is the ultimate expression of Arctic freedom. Afterward, unwind by the fire with a warm drink and photo ops with your new four-legged friends.

Reindeer farm experience from Sodankylä (days 2, 5 or 8)

Starting in Sodankylä, your guide will lead you to a traditional reindeer farm to uncover the fascinating secrets of Sámi culture. Feed the gentle reindeer and capture the perfect picture before settling into a sleigh for a serene one-kilometre glide through the snow. Your visit concludes in a cosy kota (wooden hut), where local pastries and steaming drinks await.

Reindeer life in Lapland: sleigh ride & traditional lunch (days 3, 6 or 8)

For a deeper dive into Lapland’s living traditions, join an extended farm visit. After a guided tour and a 30-minute reindeer-led sleigh ride through the crystalline landscape, retreat to a traditional lávvu (tent-style dwelling). Here, you’ll feast on a hearty wilderness lunch of soul-warming soup, homemade bread, and sweet buns, all served around a crackling open fire.

Forest ski (days 5 or 6)

Slow the pace and reconnect with nature on a traditional cross-country ski trek. Guided by a local expert, you’ll glide through untouched forests on stable, beginner-friendly skis. This three-hour excursion is designed to awaken the senses, featuring a well-deserved campfire break for hot drinks and traditional reindeer pastries - a true taste of the Finnish 'slow life.'

Ice floating experience at Sodankylä (days 4, 6 or 8)

Slip into a specialised dry suit and feel the extraordinary weightlessness of floating safely in the icy waters of a frozen Finnish lake. Surrounded by motionless snow covered trees, you will absorb the deep stillness of the northern nature. Afterwards, heat up in a traditional lakeside sauna, with the option to brave an invigorating plunge directly into the clear, ice-cold lake without a suit.
