Day 1: UK - Paris
Arrive in Paris and drop your bags at your chic hotel. Day 2: Paris - Beaches of Normandy - Caen
After breakfast at your hotel, say goodbye to the cosmopolitan bustle of Paris as you head north toward the picturesque region of Normandy. Your journey into history begins in the charming village of Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, located within a landscape known for its rugged beauty and seaside towns. From here, you will pay a moving visit to Utah, Omaha, and Juno beaches, the iconic sites of the 1944 D-Day landings. Take a moment to listen to the waves crash as you soak up the history of these pivotal sites before travelling to historic Caen.
Day 3: Caen - Mont-Saint-Michel - Caen
Today’s highlight is the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site of Mont-Saint-Michel. This legendary tidal island sits approximately one kilometre off the coast, and at low tide, you can imagine the pilgrims who once walked across the seafloor to reach its gates. Gaze up at its stunning 11th-century Abbey, which has been a protected monument since 1862. Inhabited by only 29 permanent residents, you’ll get the chance to explore the island at your own pace before returning to the charms of Caen.
Day 4: Caen - Palace of Versailles - Paris
Check out of your hotel and begin the journey back toward Paris, stopping first for a quintessential Normandy experience: a local cidrerie. Learn how traditional apple cider is produced and enjoy a tasting of the region's finest. In the afternoon, arrive at the magnificent, UNESCO-listed Palace of Versailles to tour the opulent grounds and chateau. Day 5: Paris
Discover Paris from two unique perspectives today. First, board a panoramic coach for a guided overview of the city's landmarks, including the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and the Eiffel Tower. Then, take to the water for a scenic one-hour cruise with recorded commentary along the Seine in an all-glass boat, offering unobstructed views of the city’s riverside wonders. Day 6: Paris - UK
