Jungle hideaway: Emerging from the misty rainforest, Hanging Gardens of Bali is a masterpiece of sustainable architecture. Designed to follow the steep, natural contours of the valley, the property uses local volcanic stone and indigenous timber to anchor itself to the landscape, creating a quiet dialogue between the ancient jungle and modern luxury. The guest villas are just as evocative, featuring traditional alang-alang thatched roofs and four-poster beds draped in billowing canopies, all opening onto a personal deck with a private pool for total seclusion.
-
Refined dining: Settle into the open-air elegance of the restaurant, a culinary sanctuary where breathtaking views and an intimate ambiance set the stage for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The menu is a vibrant tribute to Indonesia's rich gastronomic heritage, blending locally sourced ingredients with international gourmet flair. For a deeper exploration, you can embark on the Rasa Masa journey, a curated ten-course experience that acts as a bridge between centuries-old traditions and contemporary artistry (fees apply). Finish your day with a glass from the world-class wine cellar or an expertly crafted cocktail in the lounge.

Balinese bliss:Nourish your body and soul with a trip to the spa, an oasis of tranquillity set along the sacred banks of the Ayung River where traditional Balinese treatments draw on the holy water ritual of Tirta. Release tension with a signature massage using aromatic oils or immerse yourself in the island's rhythm through a curated selection of activities: join a Balinese cooking class, find your zen with a yoga session, head out on a mountain bike, or start your morning with a guided trek through the surrounding rice fields to discover the heart of authentic Bali (fees apply).
How to get there

Gianyar
Set in the cultural heartland of Bali, the area surrounding the resort is a lush tapestry of mist-covered forests, ancient temples, and traditional crafts. Just a short drive away, the UNESCO-listed Tegallalang Rice Terraces offer a striking display of emerald-green irrigation systems that have shaped the island's history for centuries. For those seeking spiritual connection, the Dalem Segara Temple sits directly across the gorge, its ancient stone walls standing in silent witness to the valley’s beauty.
The vibrant town of Ubud is also within easy reach, where you can wander through the Ubud Art Market to find hand-carved silver and intricate textiles. Nature enthusiasts shouldn't miss a stroll along the Campuhan Ridge Walk for panoramic views of the Wos River, or a visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, home to a playful troop of macaques. For a touch of adventure, the rushing waters of the Ayung River provide a scenic backdrop for white-water rafting through the heart of the jungle.
