Island life redefined: Shangri-La Le Touessrok is a sprawling 34-hectare tropical playground nestled along the turquoise shores of a quiet lagoon. Your hotel offers a contemporary take on Mauritian hospitality, where light-filled architecture and vibrant design create a seamless flow between the lush gardens and the sea. Wander across the wooden bridge to Frangipani Islet or board a private boat for a short journey to the exclusive Ilot Mangénie, an untouched paradise reserved solely for hotel guests.
-
Exquisite culinary theatre: Embark on a global gastronomic journey across five authentic restaurants and two atmospheric bars. You can savour refined Indian and Mauritian fusion overlooking the bay, or head to the specialist Japanese restaurant for masterfully prepared sushi and Wagyu beef. For a more laid-back vibe, the beach club and grill on the islet serves Mediterranean-inspired charcoal barbecue, while the rum and tiki bar is the perfect spot for a smoked cocktail as the sun dips below the horizon.
-
Holistic wellness haven: Discover a profound sense of peace at Chi, The Spa, a secluded sanctuary set deep within the resort’s verdant tropical vegetation. Drawing inspiration from local culture, the eight private treatment rooms offer a space for hyper-customised aesthetic care and rejuvenating massages (fees apply). Beyond the spa, you can maintain your balance with a range of water sports, including kayaking and windsurfing, or tee off on a championship golf course designed by Bernhard Langer.
How to get thereThe hotel is located approximately one hour’s drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. For a more scenic arrival, a helicopter transfer service is available from the airport, taking roughly 10 minutes. We’d recommend hiring a car in order to get the most out of the beautiful area.
Good to knowPlease note that a smart-casual dress code applies for lunch, and gentlemen are required to wear long trousers and closed shoes for dinner at several of the resort’s fine-dining restaurants. Fees apply for spa treatments and certain activities, such as golf and specialised water sports.

Trou d'Eau Douce
The east coast of Mauritius is a landscape of coral reefs and emerald-green volcanic peaks, perfect for those who love to explore both land and sea. Spend your morning snorkelling in the crystalline waters of the lagoon or take a boat trip to the famous Ile aux Cerfs for a day of sun-drenched relaxation. For a change of pace, the surrounding region offers opportunities for quad-biking and ziplining through the island's lush interior. You can also visit the nearby village of Trou d'Eau Douce to experience local life, or venture slightly further to the Black River Gorges National Park for scenic hiking trails and waterfall views. Nature lovers shouldn't miss the chance to meet the resort's three resident tortoises, a charming nod to the island's unique biodiversity.
