Included excursions

Day 2: Private Kasbah Aït-Ben-Haddou guided walking tour

Step back in time with a guided wander through this magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site, where striking red-earth ramparts and traditional adobe towers rise dramatically against the desert horizon. Feel the history underfoot as you navigate narrow, sun-drenched alleys and drink in spectacular panoramic views across the sweeping Ounila Valley. It is no surprise this striking open-air masterpiece has set the scene for epic productions from Gladiator to Game of Thrones, and your memorable day out also includes a delicious local lunch amidst these legendary surroundings.

Day 5: Half-day private Marrakech guided walking tour (6- and 8-night itinerary only)

Uncover the vibrant soul of the Red City on a half-day guided walk, starting at the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque to marvel at its remarkably preserved, sky-piercing minaret. Your cultural journey continues through the opulent 19th-century Bahia Palace—a sprawling labyrinth of sun-dappled courtyards—before crossing the historic Mellah to admire the finely carved ceilings of the rediscovered Saadian Tombs. Finally, lose yourself to the senses as you weave through spice-scented Medina alleyways and buzzing craft workshops, emerging into the electric energy of Jemaa el-Fna square amidst a kaleidoscope of musicians, artisans, and snake charmers.

Day 6: Full-day group excursion to Essaouira (8-night itinerary only)

Escape to the Atlantic coast for a day in this enchanting port city, where a spectacular 17th-century harbour buzzes with iconic blue fishing boats and the scent of the salty sea air. Stroll along the ancient ramparts to admire the historic copper cannons facing the ocean, before losing yourself in the timeless charm of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Medina. Your journey also features a stop at a traditional women's cooperative to watch a fascinating demonstration of how southern Morocco’s precious argan oil is crafted.

Optional excursions

If you’d like to make your trip even more unforgettable, you can also book the following optional excursions. These excursions can be selected in the booking process.

Day 6 or 7: Hot air balloon ride (6- and 8-night itinerary only)

Greet the morning sun from a breathtaking vantage point as you drift peacefully nearly 1,000 metres above the earth, taking in sweeping views of the Atlas Mountains, vast desert sands, and ancient villages. Feel the gentle morning breeze as you float for an hour over the contrasting landscapes before touching down to enjoy a traditional breakfast served inside a Berber tent.
