How to get there
The hotel is located in Alkersum on the island of Föhr. From the mainland ferry terminal at Dagebüll Mole, the car and passenger ferry ride to Wyk auf Föhr takes around 50 minutes. From the ferry port in Wyk, it is approximately a 10-minute drive or taxi ride to the hotel. We’d recommend hiring a car in order to get the most out of the beautiful area.
Good to know
Please note that the hotel's restaurant is closed for a culinary break from 5 to 21 October 2026. The hotel operations, including breakfast, continue as normal during this period.
Entry requirements

Alkersum
Set in the green heart of Föhr, Alkersum is the oldest village on the island and a haven for culture lovers. Right on your doorstep, the Museum Kunst der Westküste showcases a world-class collection of Scandinavian and German art celebrating the sea and coast. Explore the picturesque village centre on foot to discover historic thatched-roof Frisian houses, or stop by the local farm shop for freshly made island cheeses. Rent a bicycle to explore the island's vast network of scenic cycling paths, leading you directly to the sweeping sandy beaches and UNESCO-listed Wadden Sea. For history buffs, a trip to neighbouring Nieblum reveals the medieval St. Johannis Church, known locally as the Frisian Cathedral, alongside its famous "talking gravestones."
