History buffs can marvel at the medieval and Renaissance architecture in the area, startling with Serralunga and Grinzane Cavour castles, whilst wine connoisseurs will feel right at home at the vineyards of Fontanafredda or the cellars of Casa Borgogno. The area is home to many food festivals, depending on the time of year you travel, so look out for the truffle fair in Alba and the cheese festival of Bra.
