Learn about the area's ancient history at the Meteorkrater Museum, or set off along the Meteorkrater-Rundwanderweg to take in picturesque views across the crater rim. Nearby, the dramatic dolomite formations of the Wental valley make for another scenic hiking destination. Schloss Hellenstein in Heidenheim is also easily reachable for a dose of regional history.
