Wine tasting

• Lyrarakis Winery Tour and Wine Tasting •

Enjoy an included wine tour and tasting at the Lyrarakis Winery. Family-owned and producing high quality wines since 1966, Lyrarakis specialises in rarer grape varieties. The family has revived two old Cretan wines, Dafni and Plyto, and recently included the forgotten white grape Melissaki in their range.

On your 1.5-hour tour, you will first be shown around Lyraraki's vineyards, after which you can taste the wines from the old oak barrels in the wine cellar. You will taste six different wines, accompanied by Greek biscuits and olives.

Contact the winery at least 24 hours before your preferred tour date and time and enjoy the freedom to choose when you visit!

Passport, visa and health requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements (including those related to COVID-19) at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements, before you travel. Please be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Price changes

Rental car

You will receive all rental car information along with your travel documents. An excess risk applies in the event of theft or damage. A credit card deposit is required upon arrival.

Maximum three persons per room.

Single supplement

The single supplement is based on travel dates and duration of travel. You will see the final price in the booking process.

Children's discount

On the basis of two full-paying adults, a discount for children may be offered dependent on the chosen travel dates and length of stay. You will see the applicable discount in the final booking process. Please note: children up to 12 months old receive a discount on the plane ticket, but will not receive a seat or baggage allowance.

Infant bed

It is possible to arrange a cot during this trip for a fee of €5 per night. Contact customer service to make an enquiry.

Pets

Pets are not permitted on this trip due to international plane travel.

Wine Tasting

The tasting takes place Monday - Friday from 10:00 to 17:00. The last tour begins at 16:00. On Saturdays the winery is open from 11:00 to 16:00. The last tour begins at 15:00. The winery is closed on Sundays and holidays. To book your visit, please contact the winery at least 24 hours prior to your desired arrival.

You will receive all information regarding the included wine tasting with your travel documents up to 5 days before departure.
