Dublin, a city full of contrasts

Like many modern cities, Dublin can be divided into quarters. The Medieval Quarter is the oldest part of the city and is home to Dublin Castle, and two medieval cathedrals: Christ Church Cathedral and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, both amongst the city’s most visited spots. In the Georgian Quarter, you’ll find some of Dublin’s finest buildings and elegant townhouses – complete with their characteristic brightly coloured front doors and wrought-iron railings – and the beautiful Merrion Square. One place not to be missed is the Temple Bar area, also known as the Cultural Quarter. In the light of day, you can enjoy a stroll around these cobbled streets, browsing the area’s boutiques and galleries. By night, this place comes to life: it’s full to bursting with bars, pubs and music venues, attracting Guinness lovers and party-seekers alike. So whether you’re after shopping or culture, music or a fine evening out, Dublin has it all.

Excursion included in your trip: • Tickets to the Guinness Storehouse® and 1 complimentary pint of Guinness per person or a soft drink for children under 18 •

The Guinness Storehouse® is one of Ireland’s finest – and most popular – tourist attractions. Housed in the St. James’s Gate Brewery dating back to 1759, a trip to the Home of Guinness provides not only a journey through history, but also a trip for the senses: savour the swirling vapours of malted barley and hops as you walk through the aroma room, learn to pull the perfect pint at the Guinness Academy and sample your very own pint of the black stuff while enjoying panoramic views across the city from the Gravity Bar.

The Guinness Storehouse® experience is a self-guided tour, so you can enjoy this interactive experience at your own pace. It finishes with a pint accompanied by spectacular views of Dublin. We recommend you allow between 2-3 hours for your visit, but you can stay for as long as you like. A pint of the black stuff should really not be rushed!

Your ticket is valid on day 2 of your trip and within the official opening hours of the Guinness Storehouse®. Note that the validity of your ticket may be changed if there are no longer tickets available for day 2 of your trip. It’s also possible to purchase an audio guide for €1 (available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin). The Guinness Storehouse® is open every day from 09:30 – 19:00. The last admission is at 17:00. Opening times in July and August are extended to 21:00.
