The Magic of Fez & its Medina
When many people plan a visit Morocco they often head straight for Marrakech, but for the discerning traveller the city of Fez should certainly be on the agenda. Boasting a 1200-year history, the city – and especially the old medina – will have you feeling as though you have stepped into another world. It’s easy to get lost amid the narrow streets but this is certainly the best way to discover its colourful bazaars, mosques and food stalls. That’s why as part of this trip you will enjoy a private walking tour around the medina. Your guide will tell you all about its history as you make your way through the oldest part of the city, and you will take in all sorts of monuments and interesting places as you go: you will visit the old ramparts, the Royal Palace, the Quaraouiyine mosque and the neighbourhood where many potters and artisans live and work. At the end of your tour, you can visit the Bou Inania and Attarine Madrasas, two of Fez’s ancient Islamic schools and fine examples of elegant architecture, complete with beautiful mosaics. (Please note that entrance fees for he Madrasas are not included in the tour.)

During this day tour, you will discover the ruined city of Volubilis, one of the best preserved Roman sites in Morocco. You will also visit Meknes, one of Morocco’s four royal cities.

Payment
If you book this deal before 35 days of your departure, you can choose to pay in parts. The deposit will be 50% of the deal’s price plus the booking fee and travel and/or cancellation insurance (when applicable).
