Optional excursions

If you want to make your trip even more memorable, you can book the following optional excursions. All excursions can be booked and paid for during the booking process. Please note that the excursions may be shared with other travellers.

• Traditional Tibetan momo cooking workshop (day 2, 3 hours) • You will learn how to prepare a traditional Tibetan momo (dumplings) and, of course, you’ll enjoy your own creation afterwards.

• Traditional Nepalese cooking class (day 2, 3 hours) • During this workshop you will learn how to prepare delicious Nepalese dishes, and enjoy them afterwards.

• Paragliding (day 8, 2.5 hours) • Are you a thrill seeker? On day 8, you have the chance to participate in the optional paragliding activity. You will be picked up in Pokhara and taken to Sarangkot (20 minutes from Pokhara). Sarangkot is a village with a view of Lake Fewa on one side and the Annapurna Mountains on the other. Take a tandem flight from Sarangkot over Lake Fewa to the runway in Pokhara. During the flight, the pilot will take photos and videos that you can subsequently download on a USB stick or laptop. Duration: approx. 30 min in the air. Includes transfers.

• Himalaya Mountain Flight (Day 2, 3, 13 or 14, 3 hours) • During this mountain flight, you’ll get to see Mount Everest up close. After all, a trip to Nepal and Bhutan would be incomplete without really understanding what makes these countries so beautiful: the Himalayas. During this optional excursion, you will fly so close to the highest mountain in the world that you can almost touch it. Duration: approx. 1 hour in the air. Includes airport transfers.

Baggage for flights Nepal - Bhutan

Please note that on flights between Nepal and Bhutan you are allowed to take max. 20 kg of checked baggage. The rules related to cabin baggage may vary by airline. Failure to comply with the requirements may incur additional costs.

Airport transfers

Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign with our logo and / or your name (s). You will receive additional transfer information along with your travel documents.

Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after departure from Nepal and Bhutan. For current information regarding travel documents, we advise you to visit the Gov.UK website or the embassy.

Visa requirements

A visa is required when traveling with a British passport to Nepal and Bhutan. For up-to-date visa information, we recommend that you visit the Gov.UK and embassy websites.

Vaccinations

When traveling to Nepal and Bhutan, vaccinations against DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio), Typhoid fever and Hepatitis A are recommended. Consult your doctor or the NHS website for current and personal health advice.

Currency

The national currency of Nepal is the Nepalese rupee (NPR). In Bhutan, the national currency is the Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN).
