Welcome to Riga

Culture and history go hand in hand in beautiful Riga. The old town is a true paradise for anyone who is a fan of the Art Nouveau style, as you'll see plenty of examples of this beautiful look. As you stroll through the picturesque streets, you'll immediately notice why UNESCO has placed the entire historic centre of the city on the World Heritage List. Be sure to walk up to the spire of St. Peter's Church, where from a height of 72 metres, you can enjoy a wonderful view of Riga. There are also numerous museums where you can spend a few hours and then of course there are the cozy squares where you can taste the city, at great value prices. Finish off your meal with a Latvian beer or try a glass of Balzam, a strong herbal liqueur often seen as Latvia's national drink. Cheers!
