Cradled by chilly Andean peaks and dripping with colonial architecture, Bogotá is the perfect introduction to vibrant Colombia. Finish with a visit to the Gold Museum to admire ancient pieces of Pre-Colombian goldsmiths, before whisking yourself off on a drive to visit the Salt Cathedral, an impressive chapel considered the first wonder of Colombia. As its name suggests, everything is made from salt, from the dome, sculptures and giant cross that adorns the walls inside.
