A riveting Indian escapade from Delhi to Jaipur and Agra, ending in a blissful Maldives retreat - includes breakfast, tours and all travel

Day 1 & 2: UK - Delhi

A riot of colour, noise and activity, there are few more intoxicating destinations on the planet than India. From imperial palaces to chaotic bazaars, this kaleidoscopic country promises an altogether enlightening, humbling and awe-inspiring experience that gets right under your skin. It all begins in the capital, Delhi, where you’ll spend two nights at your choice of hotel.

On your first day in Delhi settle in and get to know your hotel, or head straight out to explore the buzzy metropolis. You have a packed second day, with tours of Old and New Delhi, as well as a rickshaw ride around the Red Fort (the former residence of the Imperial Family) and seeing where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated at Raj Ghat. You'll also drive through India Gate on the way to seeing the Presidential Palace. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3 & 4: Jaipur

The alluring ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur is your next stop. Spend your first day here at leisure, while another fascinating city tour will reveal the jewels of Jaipur to you on Day 5. Embellished with royal heirlooms of past Maharajas, fast-paced Jaipur holds majestic palaces, imposing military forts and exceptional shopping. Your city tour reveals the Amber Fort, the opulent City Palace complex, and the UNESCO-listed marble observatory of Jantar Mantar. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Agra

Next, it's onwards to Agra. En route, you'll stop off at another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 16th-century town of Fatehpur Sikri, which was briefly the capital of the Mughal empire with its red sandstone monuments and temples. While in Agra, you’ll get to see one of the most famous sites in the world, Shahjehan’s white-marble Taj Mahal, plus Agra Fort – one of the finest forts in the country. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Delhi

Today you’ll enjoy a scenic drive back to Delhi, where you’ll stay the night. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7 - 9: The Maldives

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Malé; from here you’ll hop on a speedboat and get taken to your island bolthole where you’ll reap the benefits of all-inclusive Maldives luxury. Here you can snorkel in the turquoise seas, sunbathe on the white sands, or explore your island and make the most of the resort’s amenities. (Meals: all-inclusive)

Please note, the order of the itinerary may differ depending on your arrival day: for arrivals Monday/Friday, you'll spend two nights in Delhi at the beginning and one night in Delhi at the end; for arrivals Tuesday/Saturday, you'll spend one night in Delhi at the beginning and two nights in Delhi at the end.

Due to the customs clearance rule of the government of India, if your flight calls at another city in India before arriving in Delhi, confirm at the departure desk in the UK/Ireland whether you should pick up your suitcase and pass customs control at the airport where the connection is made. Remember that if the flight stops in Mumbai you will need to pick up your luggage. Keep in mind that normally this whole process takes approximately 60 minutes.
