The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements, before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

If your deal includes flights, the flight times shown are estimated and therefore subject to change. Please note that your preferred departure time cannot be guaranteed in every case.

Flight times and carriers will be confirmed by Exoticca Travel UK Ltd after you have made your booking. Within 7 days of confirming your booking with us, you’ll receive an email from the supplier, Exoticca Travel UK Ltd, with your final booking confirmation detailing the exact flight times confirmed for your specific reservation. The flight time will be within the time parameters and possible airlines detailed in this offer.

Pets are not allowed on this trip.

Please note that a deposit of 35% of the travel price must be paid within 48 hours of your booking; the remaining balance of 65% is due no later than 60 days before departure. The travel booking only becomes binding when you receive our travel confirmation.

Please note, upon arrival into Japan you will be required to show a passport with at least six months' validity.

Please note, this tour includes a seven-day Japan Rail Pass between Tokyo - Kanazawa - Hiroshima - Kyoto, a 72-hour Tokyo subway pass, a 48-hour Kyoto bus/subway pass, and a local train transfer from Kyoto to Osaka. Airport transfers are not included, and guests should expect to make their own travel arrangements between airports/local train stations and the hotels.

The physical Japan Rail Pass will be sent to you before your trip. Please send an email to customers@exoticca.com with the full address where you want to receive the JR Pass.

We recommend activating your Japan Rail Pass on day 5 of your trip, before taking the train Tokyo - Kanazawa. The Pass can be used for seven days, which will cover your train journeys between Tokyo-Kanazawa, Kanazawa-Hiroshima and Hiroshima-Kyoto. To activate the Pass, please visit any JR Office at a train station and request it (the Pass cannot be activated at other stations such as metro or non-JR train lines). The JR Pass allows you to ride inter-city train journeys on JR lines without any cost.

This is a semi-escorted tour, during which only some of the booked activities are carried out with a local English-speaking guide. There is no 24-hour guide on site.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, for safety reasons or for any other reasons deemed appropriate, the order and duration of the excursions included in the itinerary may be changed or cancelled without prior notice.

A number of Japanese cities impose an accommodation tax, which must be paid directly to the hotel.

Accommodation at the hotels is as indicated. In the event of any changes to accommodation, they will always be of the same, or a higher category. The category of hotels is not standardised across all countries in the world. For this reason, the criteria may differ depending on the destination country's own standards.

Hotels in Japan have a reduced number of non-smoking rooms and we cannot guarantee you will be allocated one advance.

You will receive your included Japanese SIM Card after you've checked in to your Tokyo hotel. The card covers up to 3GB of internet data to use during your trip. (Excludes cover phone calls). Bookings created prior to January 31 2023 will have the possibility to add the SIM Card as an optional upgrade.

An agent will be waiting for you at the airport's arrivals hall, where they will deliver all necessary documents for this trip (transportation tickets, sim card, activities information and meeting points, etc). They will talk you through your itinerary, provide helpful information and recommendations for your free time, and assist you with your self-transfer to the hotel.

Whenever the Meet & Greet service can't be arranged or you can't find them at the arrivals hall (due to flight delay, a sudden change of arrival terminal, etc), the travel documents will be sent to your hotel instead.

Passengers who book a trip without international flights through Exoticca, but wish to enjoy the Meet & Greet service, must share their flight details with Exoticca at least 30 days prior to arrival.
