Day 1 - 4: UK - Cape Town

Crowned by the flat-topped beauty that is Table Mountain (and its smaller sibling, Lion’s Head), Cape Town is more than just a pretty face; its creative soul shines through in a rich arts and culture scene, a jam-packed festival calendar and an innovative culinary landscape. After being greeted at the airport and taken to your hotel, you’ll have a few days to float around and see all the sights, as well as enjoy a scenic half-day helicopter experience above the city. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5 - 7: Makalali Game Reserve

Located within 26,000 hectares of bushveld, your base in the Makalali Private Game Reserve offers a beautiful vantage point from which to drink in the spectacular South African scenery. In addition to your two daily game drives, the lodge staff are always on hand to organise activities such as morning and afternoon balloon rides, and excursions to the nearby cheetah breeding research facility. Hans Merensky Golf Course (Golf in the Wild) is an hour’s drive away, on the edge of the Kruger National Park – the latter is of course the real star attraction, where you might spot elephants leopards, lions, cheetahs, buffalos, rhinos, hippos, zebra and giraffes in their natural habitat. Day 8: Johannesburg

As the capital of South Africa and the country's biggest city, Johannesburg brims with all manner of attractions to please city-slickers and culture-seekers. Once a gold mining settlement, it's home to eye-opening political and historical sites such as the Apartheid Museum, Mandela's House and the township of Soweto, as well as the UNESCO-listed Cradle of Humankind - a vast and intriguing complex of limestone caves. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9 - 15: Belle Mare, Mauritius

One of the most ravishing places on the planet, Mauritius is cherished for its brilliant white beaches, bathtub-warm crystalline waters, and volcanic mountain backdrops. The peaceful Solana Beach Mauritius appeals to adults who want to bliss out in total luxury. Set in coconut and palm tree-studded gardens that slope down to sparkling white sand, it comes with three unique restaurants, two stylish bars, a heavenly spa and a dizzying array of water sports to excite even the most laid-back traveller. You’ll also have the chance to take in Mauritian culture with a half-day tour of Port Louis, the country’s vibrant and lively capital city, home to the colourful alleyways of Chinatown, historic French colonial architecture and the bustling scents and sounds of the local markets. Internal flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit, South Africa:

Departing Cape Town at 9.30 or 10.40, arriving into Hoedspruit at 12.00 or 13.10

Internal flight from Johannesburg, South Africa to Mauritius:

Please note that both your outbound and inbound flights are overnight, so please bear this in mind when planning the time you'll be away. The date you select as your check-in date will be the day you'll fly out from the UK, and you'll arrive in Cape Town, South Africa the following day to commence your 15-night holiday. The check-out date will be the day that you'll board your inbound flight back to the UK. Since your inbound is also overnight, you'll be away for a total of 17 nights.
