Hurghada, Red Sea

You'll have the option of starting and ending your escape at leisure in Hurghada, where a most laid-back beachfront experience awaits for a total of seven nights. Make the most of your hotel's five-star facilities, stroll along the nearby Hurghada Promenade, or kick back and luxuriate across soft sands on the private beach. Enjoying a prime location on Egypt's Red Sea coast, Hurghada is also the perfect spot for you to indulge in scuba diving and other water sport thrills, before exploring its old-town souks and buzzing nightlife scene.

Cairo

You'll have three nights to spend in Cairo, getting to know the Egyptian capital's entrancing charms. Enjoy the familiar sight of the Nile river flowing through the city, as you acquaint yourself with its jam-packed bazaars, intriguing blend of modern and historic architecture, and of course, its iconic landmarks - don't miss the Egyptian Museum's exhaustive collections, the medieval Citadel of Cairo, and the simply stunning Al-Azhar Mosque. For sightseeing of a different kind, ascend the Cairo Tower for sprawling views, shop your heart out at Cairo Festival City Mall, or explore the gorgeous gardens of Al-Azhar Park.

As part of your time in Cairo, you'll enjoy tours of three epic landmarks attractions: the Egyptian Museum, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and home to the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities, as well as the ever-ionic Pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza, located around 20 kilometres from the centre of Cairo.

Nile cruise

A five-star experience awaits aboard the MS Nile Renaissance cruise ship, which marries classic luxury, romance and intimacy with the superb landscapes of the Nile river. You'll embark on an unforgettable four-night cruise, immersed in an old-age atmosphere both within your private cabin and across the ship's communal facilities. Relax the days away in the swimming pool or with a drink on the sundeck bar, and marvel at the destinations you'll sail past on your way.

Cruise itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer to Luxor to embark your cruise ship, and spend your first night docked in Luxor.

Day 2: Today you can choose to join an optional tour of Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 3: Sail on towards the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon, which you can choose to discover on an optional tour. Sail to Edfu next, for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Today, join an optional tour of the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Then sail to Kom Ombo, where you could opt for a Temple of Sobek tour before sailing on to Aswan for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Take an optional tour of Aswan Dam, the unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple, before disembarking your ship and heading to the airport for your flight to Cairo.
