• Sunrise hike to Mount Batur (Day 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 or 11) •

Rise before dawn ready for a magical sunrise hike up the active Mount Batur volcano. The 2.00am start will be more than worth it, as you reach the crater around 6.15am ready to experience one of the world’s most beautiful sunrises. Don't forget to wear sturdy walking shoes, and bring some cash with you for a hot drink at dawn.

• Jungle trek to Tamblingan Lake (Day 5, 6, 7 or 8) •

Immerse yourself in Bali’s pristine tropical rainforest as you trek through one of the island’s protected areas, passing by imposing old trees and ancient temple ruins, perhaps spotting forest-dwelling wildlife like macaques and local birds. Your experienced guide will get you clued-up on the forest's native flora and fauna as you reach the shores of Lake Tamblingan, where you’ll enjoy a magical half-hour canoe trip on the glistening waters of the former volcano caldera.
