From Copenhagen city slicking to a luxury all-inclusive cruise through Norway’s fjords, with breakfast in Copenhagen and all travel

Days 1-3: Copenhagen, Denmark

Offering a cornucopia of cutting-edge fashion, avant-garde design and a world-renowned dining scene - topped off with that all-important cosy atmosphere - the effortlessly cool Danish capital positively oozes Scandi-chic, and has just about everyone intoxicated by its charms. And with three days here to spend as you wish, you’ll have plenty of time to tick the city’s landmarks off your bucket-list. Why not start with exploring the lively surrounding Vesterbro neighbourhood, or grab a bike to make like the locals?

Nearby highlights include the iconic Tivoli Gardens, the world's second-oldest amusement park with 21 acres of landscaped grounds that are especially magical when lit up at night. Just beyond, stroll through the historic city centre to see beautiful university buildings, the bustling Stroget pedestrian area with its trendy boutiques, and the magnificent Rosenborg Palace and National Art Museum. On your way back, perhaps tick off the glittering Amalienborg and Christiansborg palaces and the Slotsholmen government district, or head in the opposite direction for a peaceful amble along the Copenhagen lakes. Whatever you do, be sure to sample a legendary Danish pastry, and grab a hot dog from one of the city’s famous stands.

Days 4-11: Norwegian Fjords cruise

After three action-packed days of sightseeing and cosmopolitan pursuits, you’ll board the majestic MSC Euribia cruise ship in Copenhagen, ready for a spellbinding journey through the Norwegian Fjords. You’ll spend two full days out on the open waters of the North Sea, and the rest drifting between the enchanting mountain landscapes, verdant valleys and idyllic villages of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Keep your eyes peeled for seabirds, seals and the occasional whale emerging from the waves, and when you aren’t taking in once-in-a-lifetime views, retreat inside to make the most of the ship’s luxurious facilities.

Your final stop will be the historic port town of Kiel on Germany’s Baltic Sea Coast, whose dreamy Old Town, sandy beaches and rich maritime heritage are ripe for exploration. After that, it’s back to Copenhagen, where on day 11 you’ll bid farewell to your ship as you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
