The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements, before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

If your deal includes flights, the flight times shown are estimated and therefore subject to change. Please note that your preferred departure time cannot be guaranteed in every case.

Flight times and carriers will be confirmed by Exoticca Travel UK Ltd after you have made your booking. Within 7 days of confirming your booking with us, you’ll receive an email from the supplier, Exoticca Travel UK Ltd, with your final booking confirmation detailing the exact flight times confirmed for your specific reservation. The flight time will be within the time parameters and possible airlines detailed in this offer.

Pets are not allowed on this trip.

Please note that a deposit of 20% of the travel price must be paid within 48 hours of your booking; the remaining balance is paid in instalments according to your departure date. The travel booking only becomes binding when you receive our travel confirmation.

Remember to download your e-ticket to confirm the times of your flights and to complete online check-in using the airline’s website, or directly at the check-in desk at the airport.

Accommodation at the hotels is as indicated. In the event of any changes to accommodation, they will always be of the same, or a higher category. The category of hotels is not standardized across all countries in the world. For this reason, the criteria may differ depending on the destination country's own standards. Please note that double beds in Japanese hotels are not always the standard European size and can sometimes be less wide.

Non-smoking rooms: unfortunately, hotels in Japan have a reduced number of non-smoking rooms and we can not guarantee you will be allocated one advance.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, for safety reasons or for any other reasons deemed appropriate, the order and duration of the excursions included in the itinerary may be changed or cancelled without prior notice. This is a private tour, during which the booked excursions/visits unless otherwise stated, are carried out with a local English-speaking guide. There is no 24-hour guide on site.

An agent will be waiting for you in the Arrivals hall, where you will be given all the documents needed for this trip (transportation tickets, Sim card, activity information, meeting points, etc). The agent will talk you through your itinerary, provide helpful information and recommendations for your free time, and assist you with your self-transfer to the hotel.

If the Meet & Greet service cannot be arranged or you cannot locate the agent (due to flight delays, change in arrivals terminal, etc), your travel documents will be sent to your hotel.

You will receive the exact details of your Tokyo - Kyoto bullet train upon arrival in Tokyo. The usual departure time from Tokyo Station is between 9am-10am, arriving at Kyoto Station around 12pm. Please allow sufficient time to locate the the exact platform and train you will be using. We cannot guarantee specific seat requests (aisle, window, etc).

The local train transfer from Kyoto to Osaka does not have a fixed schedule. Passengers can exchange their ticket at any time during the day of transfer and choose the departure time that best suits them.

Documents for internal flights will be available either in the "My bookings" section of the "Customer Area" (14 days before your trip), or delivered to you on arrival at your destination. It is essential to fill in the passport information correctly for each passenger in the given boxes at the end of the reservation process.

Please note that the afternoon excursion to Nara included on day 8 does not operate on a daily basis, and has different departure days every month.

Snacks: 10.30am - 11.30am and 4.pm - 5pm
Unlimited drinks: 10.00am - 11.30pm, includes bottled still water, cold drinks by the glass, soft rrinks, concentrated juice (fresh juice at an additional fee), draught beer, house wine, house spirits, selection of cocktails and hot drinks (coffee: cappucino, caffè latte and mocha).
