Relaxing stay at a Victorian baronial mansion close to the wild North Yorkshire Moors - includes breakfast, dinner and more

  • Elegance and historic charm: Set in a stunning baronial mansion between the North Yorkshire Moors and the North East coast, Grinkle Park is a boutique hotel surrounded by 35 acres of stately grounds and woodlands. It has all the class of an elegant Victorian country house, with its high-embossed ceilings, roaring fire and fine wooden panelling.

  • Unique dining experiences: Passionate foodies will find themselves in good company at Grinkle Park's Conyers Restaurant, where the seasonally-changing menus offer fresh ingredients sourced as close to the hotel as possible; expect fine Yorkshire produce and fresh fish from Whitby. Elsewhere, head out to the terrace overlooking the manicured lawns, to tuck into a delightful afternoon tea in fine weather.

  • A relaxing rural abode: The lovely grounds offer plenty of peace for travellers in search of a quiet break, while the haunting beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors beckons nearby. The guest rooms here are newly refurbished, too, so you're guaranteed plenty of comfort each evening; it's little wonder that this charming country retreat has scooped up a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.

How to get there

Set on a 3,000-acre estate just north of the North York Moors, Grinkle Park is all about peace and quiet. The best way to get here is via your own set of wheels; on-site parking is available.
If you'd rather come via public transport, you're best getting the train to Middlesborough and then either getting a taxi or the X93 bus from there to Waupley Bridge. From there, it's around a two mile walk.

Entry requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Redcar and Cleveland

Grinkle Park is surrounded by 35 acres of beautiful parkland and flourishing gardens near the village of Easington, in Cleveland. There’s plenty to do on site, from strolling around the lake to lacing up your runners and trying out the jogging trail, but you’ll want to explore the local area too.

There are some fantastic markets across the region, such as Stokesley, Guisborough and Whitby, where you will find local delicacies and fantastic fresh fish. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is less than 30 minutes away by car, where you can walk for miles enjoying unspoilt natural beauty, or explore the sweeping beaches, a recently restored pier and the fascinating history of smuggling at Saltburn-by-the-Sea, nine miles or so away.
